Antonietta Picascia, founder and chef of Dolci Caterers, started the business 15 years ago after many years of cooking and baking for relatives, family parties and home get-togethers. A native Italian, Antonietta moved from Italy to the United States in her teen years, taking with her the strong traditions of Italian cuisine. Antonietta attributes the basis of her cooking skill to her mother, grandmothers, aunts and many more generations of family cooking from which she acquired her knowledge. However, Antonietta is constantly tweaking and revising old recipes, adding her own twist to make each recipe truly exquisite and healthy. Aside from catering, Antonietta also holds cooking classes for senior citizens and for the general public.
